Dreamweaver template updates not updating

If you want any part of your page to contain information different from what you see in your template now, you will need to mark that portion as "editable".You can have as many editable regions in your template as you wish, and your editable regions can be interspersed with the invariant content.Dreamweaver can add the new link to all the pages in the site created from that template automatically.

As such, if you want to put unique content in certain sections of your web page, you will need to mark those sections as "editable".The problem is, I copied (ctrl a) & (ctrl c) and pasted all files into another folder (on another drive)...and when I go to edit the template and library files in Dreamweaver, they do not update their child-pages. I went back into my other drive (that I had initially made the website in), and updated something on the template page, and a thing pops up and goes through the process of updating each of the child pages. Does anyone have any idea what is going on with copying the files to another drive, that makes it not update? If that does not recognise that the page you updated has children it will likely be an issue because of the path of the files.Imagine having to go through every page on a site with hundreds of pages, just to (say) add a new button to your navigation menu.
