If I had my way it would work something like this: You are un promotable until you receive a positive recommendation, you then join the list for promotion. As people infront of you are promoted you go up the list (Which is published) the only way to move up or down the list is to have people promoted above you or if you receive an exceptional you jump above those on the list that haven't received one or drop places if you receive a formal warning etc.Last year I was in the 80's as an A candidate whilst out of trade. This year I had an exceptional with loads of good examples to back it up- organised and instructed A. courses qualifying personnel in training, carried out Charity work, took on loads of SNCO duties at work aswell as doing my own job and I came in the 200's as an A candidate after the station careers advisor said my assessment was one of the best he had ever read.Only thing I can think of is for some reason my x500 had dropped of jpa and I hadn't noticed as I didn't need it in my out of trade job.You will be advocating time promotion next Yep - Monday a go-go.On Pre-Board, i asked to find out and they said no they won't tell me, i only wanted to know so i can decide if i look to move to wiltshire, guess my plans are on hold for a bit longer then.Good luck to those lucky enough to get selected for the predicted 40 slots, given the last two boards have fallen short of the prediction try not to take it as set in stone though...
I understand that it would take more work to do this but a notification on JPA would suffice. If you have stayed away from 90 (whether it was your choice or not) and had thought you were in an important Ops focussed role, then forget it - it won't be worth rummaging through that cornflake box for your prize. I actually eat Crunchy Nut, do you think I will find something in there? 2 of my lads were picked up last year & as you know, we are definitely not part of the sh1tey 90.Are you really saying to get promoted you need to do a tour on 90 and tough if you haven't? Come on then, someone must have that link to god that lets them know before anyone else!If you consider that you are up there and in with a shout as long as you have a green tour on the mighty 90 then you'll be considered for promotion with those currently on 90. If you have stayed away from 90 (whether it was your choice or not) and had thought you were in an important Ops focussed role, then forget it - it won't be worth rummaging through that cornflake box for your prize.
